StemSource™ - Overview
The Celution™ System is the foundation for Cytori’s StemSource™ Cell Bank, a comprehensive suite of products that allows hospitals in Japan to offer patients the chance to cryopreserve their adult stem and regenerative cells. These cells could prove useful for patients in the event they are required for future medical treatment. Storing the cells may be easily accomplished through a minor liposuction procedure as part of an already planned or separate elective procedure.
The Celution™ System makes the process of preparing stem and regenerative cells for cryopreservation cost-effective to hospitals offering the StemSource™ service. StemSource™ Cell Banks will be sold to hospitals in Japan starting in 2008 in partnership with Green Hospital Supply, Inc. Green Hospital Supply is the ideal commercialization partner due to their experience in hospital facilities management, high-end equipment sales, strategic consulting, and a network of over 350 Japanese hospitals.
